IOPS MFP300 128MB, 256MB, 512MB MP3, WMA, OGG player with FM radio and voice recording
Another USB pen drive? Yes, but WHAT a pen drive!! ""Mirror"" front MP3 players are becoming the latest thing for manufacturers and the mirror front of the IPOS covers almost the entire from of the player. A great feature of the IOPS is the ""grooming mode"". To activate this mode, simply hold the player up and comb your hair in the display…. Brilliant! (This is, of course, a joke). OLED displays are already more appealing than their standard LCD counterparts, but this display is just like the one in the new Monolith2, as it has two colours. Yellow/orange and blue, it so much easier on the eye than standard displays, but in bright daylight, the mirrored front does make it difficult to see the display. A negative point we agree, but only a small one. One feature quickly worth mentioning is the support for OGG Vorbis, this is a new file format, not yet fully supported, but it is bound to become a standard just like MP3 and WMA. The main body of the IOPS is crafted from plastic, and finished in a very smooth silver gloss effect (128MB version), couple this with the mirrored front, and this is one very classy looking player. Certainly one you will feel proud to show your mates, or flash about at the gym while listening to your skip free music. Once again, the main navigation is done via the 5 way joystick controller, housed on the front of the player, other than the joystick, the front lines are clean and smooth and free from buttons and logos, very nice. Like the Muzio and Monolith (hyperlinks), the IOPS is rich in features. Incorporating a built in clock and alarm clock, FM radio, Voice recording, FM radio recording, direct encoding and UMS (universal mass storage) for storing word docs, Jpegs, excel docs, any kind of file. Even MAC and Linux fans get the chance to own the IOPS, because both formats are fully supported. Getting started was once again very simple, connect the player to your Pc, access your music files and transfer them over, plug in your headphones and away you go. Very simple. Tailoring your IOPS to your personal needs it very easy. All options are accessed from one main menu, with all icons showing. Select from 6 EQ modes and 1 master (user) EQ setting, SRS WOW and Trubass to achieve the ultimate sound setup to suit your needs. The sound quality is one area where the IOPS really shines… The sound is excellent!!! Full volume with no distortion, clear notes, no tinnyness and plenty of bass make the IOPS a music lovers dream. As with the Monolith2 and the Muzio there are too many features to list, especially when a large majority of the features are classed as standard. We have used as much detail as possible in the feature section to give you the full picture.
Whatever kind of MP3 player you're looking for, whether you want the most sophisticated, an MP3 player jukebox with huge capacity, USB compatibility, the inclusion of FM radio, or simply something to suit a modest budget, we're bound to have the right MP3 player for you.
