Jungsoft Muzio JM-100 128MB, 256MB, 512MB MP3, WMA player with FM radio and voice recording
The Muzio has a couple of special features that you won't find on any other USB pen drive MP3 Player. Features including the pivoted USB plug, an 4 line OLED display, which is clearer and much brighter than a standard LCD display, An amazing array of settings for voice, direct encoding and FM recording but we will come to that later. Starting with the basics is really simple with the Muzio, if using Windows XP, its simple case of plug the Muzio and up it pops as an external drive letter in Explorer. Open your music directory, and drag your selected files or folders on to the player, unplug it and job done after a few minutes (depending on how many files your are transferring over), you are then ready to learn all about your player while still listening to your music. The Muzio does not stop playing if you access the menu system, for example, to alter your EQ settings. A nice feature you don't see too often, is a screen saver to conserve battery life. This is a very simple feature that we are surprised isn't standard on most players. You don't need to have your display in action all of the time. To make the most of your player, you really need to read the manual, to discover just how much your player is capable of, when compared to other players. If you are going to use the Muzio for voice recording, FM radio recording, or direct encoding, you will need to know how to change your sampling rates, bit rates, whether you want to record in stereo or mono, and for direct encoding, the Muzio will create separate files for recording CD's to prevent music being encoded as one large MP3 file. This feature is known as ""sync"" and if you turn this feature fully on, it will place gaps in your dance compilation CD's when encoding to the player. While the Muzio may impress you with its excellent feature list, a list far to big to go into detail on, it will also impress you with its build quality. The player is housed in a plastic casing with a very smart, gunmetal grey finish. The front of the Muzio contains just the OLED display and the 5 way navigation joystick, which feels sturdy and positive with its actions. Features, looks and design will not win any awards if the sound quality is poor…. Thankfully it is not! While a few of the EQ settings don't really do it justice, the 3 User EQ settings will enable you to set the player up just how you like it. Once set up, the sound is loud and clear and offers plenty of bass for all of you bass junkies. We tested the Muzio with a U2 CD (as always) to make each review fair. Overall, we say the Muzio is excellent. While not as sexy as the new IOPS, it certainly doesn't fail to impress. Everything about this player is fantastic, it does everything required of it and more, and most importantly, it does it very well. Definitely worth adding to your options list.
Whatever kind of MP3 player you're looking for, whether you want the most sophisticated, an MP3 player jukebox with huge capacity, USB compatibility, the inclusion of FM radio, or simply something to suit a modest budget, we're bound to have the right MP3 player for you.
